The Menzi 1 is a compact, fully equipped off-grid cabin, designed for comfortable short-stay accommodation within a carefully considered footprint. Built on a movable chassis, it combines the quality and feel of a permanent timber building with the flexibility to be transported and positioned on site.
Built around a British-grown Douglas fir timber frame, using timber felled and milled by us in Shropshire, the Menzi 1 is designed to operate independently off-grid. A solar system, wood-burning stove, gas cooking, composting toilet and fully fitted bathroom provide everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Inside, Douglas fir plywood or tongue & groove creates a warm, natural interior, bringing the character of the timber through into the finished cabin.
